COVID-19 Risk Prevention Office Policy

scales of justice
In an effort to implement best practices to reduce the potential spread of COVID-19, we have implemented the following office procedures in order to continue to serve our clients and meet all deadlines while creating and maintaining the safest professional office environment possible during these uncertain times. Please read this notice carefully and abide by the new policies to the best of your abilities.

  • No unscheduled walk-in client visits will be permitted until further notice. If you are coming to make a payment, please MAIL your payment instead of delivering it in person.
  • All the usual in-person appointments will now be done over the phone. These will include new client free initial consults, status appointments, and DRL and review and sign appointments. We will reach out to any clients currently scheduled for an office consult to coordinate how these appointments will now be held.
  • Please be assured that our attorneys and staff are continuing to work full-time to meet all necessary case deadlines. Also, the bankruptcy courts have instituted similar “safe distancing measures,” which resulted in canceling in-court hearings and changing those to “telephonic hearings only” until further notice. Please do not go to the bankruptcy court for a hearing, even if you have received a notice to attend, before calling our office to verify that your appearance is allowed.

We wish you and your family the very best in these trying times, so work hard to stay healthy and safe!

Our best regards,
Advanced Bankruptcy Legal Services of Connecticut
